Description:

Raffir Composites are materials made with natural fibers or metals and polymer resins. Plant fibers are excellent for their light color, patterns and texture. The metals they use are brass, bronze and aluminum because of their machinability and corrosion resistance. The polymer resins then bind the materials together, giving contrast and dimensionality. The result is a deep semi-translucent, often high-contrast material. Some of the composites are food approved, and suitable for kitchen tools, etc. The material is easily machined with tools made for wood working or plastic. It can also obtain a beautiful, high-gloss finish after polishing.

Most of these composites come in a variety of colors. The standard colors are:black, blue, brown, green, red and yellow. There is the SFX series with special color changing abilities. SFX Uranium glows in the dark. Blue Uranium does too,but it also turns strong blue in sunlight. Raffir Fiber and Alume are available in the six standard colors. The Noble series utilizes fewer colors to emphasize the fine brass and bronze meshes inside.
